Which method works for your camera?
| Camera model | Phone: OI.Share | Computer / other methods |
|---|---|---|
| OM SYSTEM PEN (new model) | Profile Library | The product page also lists OM Workspace; this guide suggests starting with a phone.Product information ↗ |
| OM-3/OM-3 ASTRO | Profile Library | OM-3 supports OM Workspace; check model documentation separately for ASTRO computer steps. |
| PEN-F | This phone transfer feature is not supported | OM Workspace, firmware 3.0 or later. |
| E-P7 | This phone transfer feature is not supported | Not listed in the Workspace transfer instructions reviewed; use Manual setup。 |
| OM-1 / OM-1 II, OM-5, E-M1 / E-M5 series and other models | Not listed among Profile Library transfer targets reviewed | Use only settings available on your camera; do not assume the same 12-color recipe can be imported. |
OI.Share support does not necessarily include recipe transfer. This table follows the official descriptions below; absence does not mean tested incompatibility.
Phone: OM SYSTEM PEN / OM-3 / ASTRO
Use an updated OI.Share and connect your camera in the app first. Profile Library reads JPEGs containing recipe information from your photo library.
- Download the recipe JPEG and save the original to your phone's photo library. Files kept only in Files / Downloads may not appear there.
- Open Profile Library in OI.Share and select the JPEG.
- Check the recipe, choose to load it onto the camera, then select the shooting mode and profile slot.
- Confirm the slot to replace, start transfer, and wait for completion and the camera to restart.
- Switch the camera to COLOR / MONO, select the transferred profile, and take a test shot.
Available slots depend on the camera. Record your existing settings first.Official illustrated steps ↗
Computer: PEN-F / OM-3
PEN-F requires firmware 3.0 or later. Install OM Workspace and download the recipe JPEG to your computer.
- Connect by USB: choose MTP on OM-3, or Storage on PEN-F.
- In the OM Workspace Camera menu, open Color/Monochrome Profile Load.
- Add the JPEG, check its settings, then choose the shooting mode and profile slot.
- Confirm the slot and start loading. Wait for completion, then choose it in COLOR / MONO and take a test shot.
This loading screen cannot edit recipes. It is separate from backing up or restoring all camera settings.
Manual: check each setting supported by your camera
E-P7 has color / monochrome profile controls for in-camera adjustment. Check other models' manuals for the corresponding features.Official E-P7 specifications ↗
- Open the large-text settings reference in recipe details and check each item against your camera menus.
- Enter only fields supported by the camera and explicitly shown in the recipe. Color-zone numbers are not verified color names.
- Record your adjustments and take test shots. Then submit a compatibility report for the camera and recipe version.
Only confirmed OM MakerNote fields are parsed here. Missing settings do not mean zero. Official apps may support more file types than our parser; successful parsing does not confirm camera import compatibility.
FAQ
Why doesn't a PEN-F or E-P7 JPEG guarantee transfer back to that model?
Source camera and receiving camera are different things. The official phone workflow reads suitable profile JPEGs from OM-3, OM SYSTEM PEN, PEN-F, and E-P7, but lists only OM-3 / ASTRO and the new OM SYSTEM PEN as transfer targets. RAW / ORF is not supported in this workflow.
Official file and camera requirements ↗Recipe missing in the app, or failed to read?
Check that the connected camera supports the feature, the app can access the photo, and you are using the original recipe JPEG. Try official built-in samples first, then compare with your download. Do not use our previews or screenshots.
An official notice dated September 25, 2026 reported that images transferred from cameras after updating to iOS / iPadOS 26.6.1–26.7 might not work with this feature; investigation was ongoing. It concerns specific systems and transfers, not all JPEGs. Check the latest status.
Latest official notice ↗Can this website transfer directly to my camera?
No. We provide recipe files, parsed settings, and member reports. OI.Share or OM Workspace performs the transfer. Report success or problems on the version you used to help others.
